minimalism phase one

1) Minimalism in photography involves the concept of capturing images with the least amount possible. It contains a lot of negative space (most often a solid color) and focuses on a simple subject.

a) I found this image particularly compelling due to the story it tells. One can visually see that an animal (presumably that of a person or small animal) had wandered through the snow, possibly stopped under the tree for rest, and thus continued forward.

b) This image also stood out to me due to the lighting that separated the main "solid" color of the background from the objects themselves. There's not too much going on, and it's pleasing to the eye.

c) This photograph in particular had stuck out to me due to its use of negative space, and how it creates this empty atmosphere. The small chunk missing from the orange is also pretty eye-pleasing and also looks a bit like a tiny pacman.
